Best access for BBC World AND Al Jazeera?

Can anyone please advise the best provider - if one exists - for BBC World News AND al-Jazeera? That's all I really need and want.... Is it possible to access these via satellite? I don't think True has both, and I didn't care for their service at all some years back - arbitrary changes of channel at the drop of a hat. I was not amused when they replaced BBC World with Fox News!

Any advice gratefully received.

Filmon.tv does not appear to have BBC World. There are lots of streaming sources for BBC World though if you just google for them.

TrueVisions have both BBC World News (channel 780 in HD and 785 in SD) and Al Jazeera (789 in SD). As both are "on tap" 24x7 with no buffering/lags, this is probably the "best provider", but you have to be a subscriber.

AFAIK TrueVisions never carried Fox News, which has been my grumble with True.

I have the TrueVisons Gold plan, it costs about 1600 baht a month. It has BBC, CNN, Bloomberg and CNBC, but not Al Jazeera. Perhaps you have a different (more expensive) plan.

If you don't mind my asking, what plan do you have and how much does it cost? I did a quick check of the TrueVison website, the information is probably in there somewhere but it isn't easy to find.

My error, apparently - I thought True and TrueVisions were one and the same.

Can someone please elaborate?

Also, if Truevisions have both BBC World News and Al Jazeera (SD is fine) I am happy to subscribe - but which package?

Many thanks - Dru

Truevisions is just the full name for "True". Truevisions satellite doesn't carry Al Jazeera but Truevisions cable does. BBC World is in SD on satellite but HD on cable. There are also some other differences between True's satellite and cable service.

To the best of my knowledge Fox News is not available on either although other Fox channels are.

FILMON has RT, Al Jazeera,Bloomberg, BBC news why anyone would pay THB 1600 p.m.

when they can watch for free,is beyond me,Faux News, they will be really pushing for Trump,

to be the next President of the U.S.A.,while the whole world cringes at the thought.

My condo only offers True. If they get the Premiership football back, I'll be happy.

I have TrueVisions via cable in Bangkok. It's Gold at around 1600/month. Currently it's been upgraded to Platinum for 3 months for my birthday (!).

I understand that Satellite channels may be different. If you have a choice, go for cable.

Fox news is available on WETV, and with elections on the horizon I started watching it. I must admit, I can see why you want it. It is the funniest satire I have come across in a long time. How they all keep a straight face is amazing and surely deserving of some kind of award. Originally, they were so good, I actually thought it was real, and turned it off in disgust! Then, after a while, I realised that it is a spoof, and relaxed, and started to enjoy it. One or two of them are occasionally a little bit too over the top (Hannity and Megan come to mind), but overall they are very good. 9 out of 10 from me. I'm surprised there hasn't been a movie.

For real news, which you are obviously a fan of too, the best option is, as you said Truevisions.

Yes, Hannity is just a clever wind-up. Great fun but not to be taken seriously. Even more fun is listening to the Mark Levin show on internet radio.

"why anyone would pay THB 1600 p.m.

when they can watch for free"

Because I don't own a smart TV and because I haven't found an internet service in Chiang Mai that is fast and stable enough for enjoyable television.
