Bangkok taxis oppose attempt to legalise on-demand private car service

Bangkok Taxi Cooperatives today asked the Transport Ministry to halt its attempt to amend the existing transport law to legalize on-demand private car service reasoning there are over 120,000 taxis in operation in Bangkok, and any legalisation of private taxi service will add more hardship for taxi drivers.

Tourism laws to facilitate data collection, ensure tourist safety

BANGKOK, 14 June 2016 (NNT) - President of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Klin Sarasin has proposed to Deputy Prime Minister Gen. Tanasak Patimapragorn a suite of amendments in order to raise tourism standards and ensure the safety of travelers.

80 Plots of Land Added to Probe of “High Society Hills” Development Investigation

CityNews – The Director of the Royal Forest Department and his team of forestry officials have recently revealed that they have found over 80 plots of land that are either illegal, have no proof of ownership, legal but exceeding the legally owned plot of land and/or encroaching on protected forests in Chiang Mai.

PWA will secure its own raw water sources for tap water production

Government to use Section 44 to take back Sor Por Kor land

BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha will invoke Section 44 of the interim constitution in his capacity as the head of the National Council for Peace and Order to issue an order to take back Sor Por Kor (land reform for agriculture) land from any individuals who occupy more than 500 rai of the land.
