We have approx the same as Crossy showed, but not as fancy.

But we only bought the saw and fitted a Bamboo stick (about 2.5 meters long) to it.

Costs less then 500 THB and that was for the saw

The type Crossy has (or wifey!) tends to get caught up in the branches, from my experience.

Better to have one of each...saw as shown by MJCM and the pull type... depending on what and how much needs to be pruned..

Do not force the pull type it , especially on larger branches (about 1" max ) It will be done with, very quickly. Poor quality metal on the cheap ones, even the blade.

Yes, the saw has been removed from ours for just that reason.

The saw bit should be detachable thumbsup.gif

Yes it's rusty, but I can assure you that it is absolutely NOT blunt.

Neighbour is borrowing it all the time and we just used it yesterday to cut branches of a tree.

Unfortunately we don't have staff ;)

If I break it, I have to fix it myself as we don't have staff as I already said. ;)

I believe that is illegal in Thailand without a permit, 12" maximum blade length is legal without a permit. That has to do with wood poaching.

I'm about to open a thread about professional chainsaw sharpening, I've seen advice that says to get it done professionally after each five home sharpenings. Anyone else hear that?

Anyone know of a professional (preferably machine) sharpening service in the Khon Kaen area?
