Thainess Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Big C. T-shirts 100-300 baht. The staple for poverty-stricken English teachers in Bangkok.
siamcrut Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Pratunam area .Its the Clothes Wholesale area of Bangkok.Indeed it is, although I refuse to accompany my wife on those shopping trips. I'd rather stay in the hotel and enjoy the pool with my son!
planemad Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 I would also try Bobae market, reputed to have over 1300 stalls, also sellers on the street leading to Bobae towers, the place is huge, easily on a par (if not bigger) with Pratunam.
dddave Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 I would also try Bobae market, reputed to have over 1300 stalls, also sellers on the street leading to Bobae towers, the place is huge, easily on a par (if not bigger) with Pratunam. I would add that the heavy street action starts at 3am and is pretty much done by 8am. I have said before on this forum, the most difficult part's of exporting garments from Thailand is consistent supply of a particular style or material as most everything is made in limited lots, consistency of sizes; especially western sizes as Thai sizes run small and verification of the type of material used; often mislabeled.
Hammock Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Pratunam. Bayoke. And market around it. Bobae market is full of lowest of the low quality clothes but dirt cheap
dddave Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Pratunam. Bayoke. And market around it. Bobae market is full of lowest of the low quality clothes but dirt cheap While I agree BoBey street market quality is poor, there are much higher quality goods available at the BoBey Wholesale Market, below the Prince Hotel.
MyFrenU Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 I'm sure the tuk tuk guys can find you a good deal if you ask them?
