ROLE OF MINIGRIDS IN MYANMAR ELECTRIFICATION: The Myanmar Govt plans to electrify 7.2 million households and achieve universal access to electricity by the year 2030. In the medium term distributed electricity generation such as mini-grids and solar home systems (SHS) will play an important role in providing electricity to hundreds of thousands of households in areas that the grid will take many years to reach.
