Making the VFS Appointment for Settlement Visa

Featured Replies

Hi All,

A very simple one, but important for our situation -

After finishing the Online VAF4A form, and submitting & paying, what is the range of options for the DATE of the appointment for taking the paper print-out and Appendix 2 to VFS Bangkok ? Is it limited to THEIR nominated dates, or can we choose up to X days....ahead ?

( I haven't done this one before, so i am assuming that Submit, Pay, Make Appointment is the order of events.)

Motive : it would suit us best to wait a couple of weeks before going to VFS, due to waiting for a few original documents to arrive from the UK.

Thanks !

Too late to edit...so a related question : Is it possible to pay using Paypal when applying online in Thailand for the UK settlement visa ? I see the Paypal logo at the bottom of every screen but in the FAQs there is mention that not all payment methods are available in all locations.

Off topic posts removed, the OP is asking about the application process for a UK Visa, not for another country. Whilst both countries use VFS to receive applications they both have different contracts with this service provider.

I have removed the inaccurate response as well as a flame.

The OP has the correct timeline for submitting the application.

The UKVI certainly used to accept PayPal, along with credit and debit cards.

Haven't made an appointment for a while, but they used to offer a range of available dates, they only used to load the dates a couple of weeks or so in advance.

Thanks OG. I saw a post saying that credit cards only were valid, and in my experience they are the most likely form of payment to get automatically blocked when a big payment is attempted. Btw, looking at the form again, i see the order of events is a bit different to my time-line, it is : Submit, Make Appointment, Pay.

If it is possible to pay with Paypal, I suggest that you inform Paypal that you are in Thailand, unless they already know of course..

I tried to pay a lawyer in Thailand 4 years ago and Paypal suspended my account because they thought that there was fraud afoot!

True it was my first attempted transaction in Thailand.
