I go to India once a month, and love the food, vegetarian or otherwise, but in my opinion, a good burger includes beef.

Now for a nice veggie and fruit sandwich, I love a nice onion & avocado on a kaiser roll with mayo and horseradish...

I had that breakfast. Very impressive amount of food but I was put off my appetite by a bunch of eastern europeans Wolfing down the food like life depended on it. Big disappointment that hotel getting to my room packed in a lift with people trying to get to the top to see the view.

Yes I understand what you mean.

It all depends on who is there I guess.

We recently had 2 wonderfull days at Bayioke ------  room - breakfast - restaurant down stairs, the fruit buffet.

But on a different day, it could have been compleely different .

Just don't pay extra for the space rooms - the windows are covered with BMW stickers, no proper view. Some CEO must have gotten a lot of money for that...

But it was a once in a lifetime experience.

I'll have to try the Bayioke, thanks for the tip.

Good luck - it could go both ways.

But the breakfast itself - on the 79th floor - can't be beaten.

Oh and get your coffee from the machine, takes a bit of searching - such a huge buffet!

Seems the thread has gone off the rails and totally :offtopic:

The only brand of ketchup I actually like:  not too much sugar, a rich tomato taste,  a bit spicy and a subtle blend of spices.

If you ever make it by yourself, I can guarantee you will never buy it again in the supermarket.

I disagree, I'm interested to see/hear about food made or purchased that the posters have enjoyed.

Was using the Singaporean term for Paratha  " Roti Prata " or " Roti Canai" as it's known in Malaysia. The majority of Indians there have Tamil dialects as their mother tongue.

Guess I could have spelled Dahl as "Daal" :whistling:

Guess site maintenance is ongoing. I have had a "Like" button most of the afternoon and have used it. Not only that, but there is also a "Sad" , "Thanks", "Haha" and "Confused" option as well. The last which have used extensively all afternoon/evening.

FYI...Using an Android device with the latest version.

Steak nite...

did i tell you about that special experience i had recently in Germany? no? here we go... it was a late sunday morning and i felt quite hungry inspite of the 4 fried eggs with bacon i had at an early breakfast. the church bells were ringing when i studied the menue of a small restaurant with a salivating mouth. then i heard a man asking me "son, you want to skip mass and indulge in carnivorous delights?" when i saw it was Jesus who asked i bit my tongue and instead of an impolite answer i said "i was only passing time reading reading what obnoxious food is served here. i am a vegan Sir."

Jesus repeated "a VEGAN? POOR BOY!" and then turned around and cried bitterly.
