'I like waterboarding a lot', says Donald Trump

Political correctness is a method of social control that is designed to prevent inconvenient issues being addressed. Those who submit to it are craven conformists. The politically incorrect are simply thinking for themselves and not afraid to speak out. It's a new groundswell, and Trump is deliberately tapping into that.

Political correctness is just a social construct used to protect pig ignorant people from themselves. Like if your an ignorant racist keep it to yourself. Educated intelligent and By all means get together and have a racist rant in private but when mixing with civilised people have a little respect for others. It is just common social decency.

"civilised people simply don't want to hear this type of bigoted nonsense."

So if you don't want to hear it, it should not be said in public,? Your feelings do not matter, the first amendment (US constitution) is under attack from the regressives but the pushback by free speech advocates is growing. I appreciate that the Donald says whatever he thinks and hope it helps him lose the election.

That is as long as they agree with your opinion and what you have to say.

People are perfectly entitled to voice their pig ignorant views but don't start whining when the obvious is pointed out to them and their view is rejected as pig ignorant. That gets a little tiresome. If your a racist bigot that hates women like Trump the response from enlightened, educated and civilised folk is never going to change. No point in continually whining and playing the poor downtrodden victim like a two year old.

PC is sort of like reds under the bed, its a bogey man that conservatives invented to scare their small minded supporters, in reality I can still say trump is a national socialist because I have free speech and Im not all scaredy of being non PC, and because nobody cares anyway

Trump is perfectly free to say it in fact I encourage Trump to vent all his vile hate speech and threats towards others. Just don't whine about people's reaction and when he gets absolutely smashed in the general election.

You've been duped. Why do you think it is called 'political' correctness?

There is an agenda behind the desperation not to offend. Usually that is to promote 'multiculturalism', which is all about attracting cheap human labour, which is all about politicians' desperation to maintain economic growth at any cost. For the politicians, that is a question of survival, and to do so they will quite happily pave paradise and put up a parking lot - as we have seen.

All the while, the ordinary people are bludgeoned into keeping quiet by the hysterical and often brutal application of 'correctness' now seen daily in the media. It's a creeping social evil, fairly Owellian when you think about it - but of course, PC conformists can't think about it because they've been conditioned not to.

If you think political correctness is just about people trying to be nice to each other, that is naive in the extreme.

And what's wrong in wearing frilly, ladies, briefs. Pretty harmless, as far as I can see. You go for it guy, I'm more worried about the Toms, taking sexy women out of the sh##ing pool.

It's no filter Trump moving his pie hole again. Why would you say something this stupid? Oh yeah, he needs to be the lead story in every news cycle.

Death throes [plural] - the final stages before something fails or ends or the sudden violent movements that people sometimes make when they are dying.

And if you think bitter cynicism and misanthropy pass for wisdom and insight, you're deluding yourself.

Many 'politically incorrect' people seem to style themselves as brave speakers of the truth, saying things the rest of us are too afraid to say - whereas they're actually loud-mouthed bigots embarrassing themselves by spouting opinions that the rest of us rejected by the time we made our way up to big school.

He could've at least said, 'umm, it's a last resort option' as opposed to 'I like it a lot' like he has some kind of fetish. rolleyes.gif

He's got a fetish alright, my bet it's he wears frilly ladies briefs.

He's all talk, most of which is trash.

Come on USA, shut this douchebag up, f f s.

Maybe he got it mixed up with "Golden Showers"? Against shutting him up. Let him raise himself by his own petard, give him enough rope. If he shuts up, people might forget how crazy he is. BTW torture does not work for interrogation. Look at senate report, interviews with CIA types.... may make certain elements of population happy, but then again so did insipid idea of building bomb shelters during cold war.

Torture would work on Donald if your objective was to establish that he's a big talking pussy that would scream in the face of danger.

It is called political correctness because it eliminates hate speech and bigotry and racism that is a cancer on a society. It is divisive and fractures the society preventing it from acting cohesively. It becomes us against them, against them, against them in a never ending spiral of implosion. It preys on the weak and uneducated and percolates hatred and fear.

If anyone thinks that torturing people will solve any issue or provide any safety or peace they should vote for Trump and see how things turn out. History shows it ends badly every time.

This US election really is becoming a classic case of good versus evil. It is interesting to watch.

I have it on good authority that if you were to strap Trump to a chair, look him in the eye, and say "Boo!," he would pee in his pants and squeal like a little girl. Then he would sing like a canary on steroids. That's Trump the wannabe tough guy for you. Maybe that's why he's convinced torture would work. Unfortunately, it doesn't work on other people.

Waterboarding is nothing to what muslims do to prisoners. Blowtorch would work better. Good on you Trump. More balls than all these pc whingers.

I agree that PC is divisive and fractures society ..... us against them, the essence of SJWs and identity politics, the "new racism" promoted by buzzfeed and mtv decoded. ... only one opinion is allowed and discenters are to be shouted down and labeled racist bigots for stating different opinions. ... good versus evil, the basis of any fundamentalist religioun.

This outrageous statement is as far as you can go from being PC, dose he have method to his madness

that we're all oblivious to I wonder?......

Right now the islamist's know if they get caught they will be treated well unlike what they do to captives. He is balancing the situation. In short he is saying you will be subject to nasty stuff which he is hoping will make many of the ISIL wannabe members think twice about joining.

I like waterboarding too...I like a few hundred real big and deep pits in the desert better.

Everything he does and says has method that's why he's so popular with some sects of American life. He is no fool, he might have the haircut of one but he isn't a fool.

If you have a captured terrorist who can reveal information that will save lives but he will not give this information up, then why not waterboarding or shoot a couple of fingers off etc?

Because it is far from guaranteed to provide accurate information. And more to the point, there's that gap between acknowledging the use of unsavory means and "loving them". That's without getting into deeper legal and moral issues.
