What order do the Immigration officers like the paperwork presented in for a Retirement Extension? I like to make things as easy as possible for the Immigration staff officers so they don't have to shuffle papers.

Top of pile

Passport

TM7 with photo rubber cement glued

Passport copies

Copy Departure card

Bank letter

Bank book page copies

Proof of address

90 day address reporting form

I should have watched closer this year to see if he rearranged things but I didn't. What are your experiences?

In my experience immigration officers always shuffle papers regardless of the order in which you present these to them - especially if their boss is looking over their shoulder so that they can then impress on them just how busy they are!

That's why I'm asking. I would submit that you didn't have them in the order that they wanted. My last one was a record. It took the guy about 30 seconds to process my application and he asked me nothing. He only nodded for me to have a seat. But I can't remember the exact order I had them in. sad.png

This topic just got a lot shorter after removing several baiting and bickering posts along with the original post that started it. Time to end it.

Is address proof also required for retirement extension? What are the examples of address proof which are acceptable for immigration?

In my case my wife's house book entry + copy of relevant page has always done the trick at Maptaput whenever address proof has been asked for (and that has not been every year). Perhaps surprisingly, though, I have never (to date at any rate) been asked for our marriage docs to enable them to join up the dots, although I always have these with me just in case.

But different offices may have different requirements. And even different officers within the same office.

This will vary deending on the livig situation of the applicant. If you rent, a copy of the rental contract is usually sufficient. If you own a condo in your own name, a copy of the chanote is usually ok. If you own a condo/house in a company name, you may need to show various company papers. For some rental situations, you may also need a letter from the management stating you are a resident.

It really depends and you need to check with your local immigration office to inquire about what they require for your situation. For my most recent Pattaya extension, I gave them a copy of a recent utility bill and my Thai drivers license was sufficient.
