webfact
Former policeman called in as "Lady Kai" case gets murkier stillImage: Daily NewsBANGKOK: -- Crime suppression division police have called in a former police investigator attached to the Prachcheun station who they say is "key" to resolving the sensational case.CSD police will meet with the former detective today, reported Daily News. This follows witness statements from several alleged victims of the woman called "Lady Kai" who employed them and then reported them to police after claiming they stole millions of baht in property from her. The former employees had refused lucrative job offers in Hong Kong that may be related to human trafficking.Miss Prapawan Jaikla known as Koy, a nineteen year old first year engineering student, and her parents Chukiat and Phrapaporn were all accused by Lady Kai of theft of gold and cash amounting to ten million baht in March. They have since counter claimed that this was a malicious charge and asked for a full investigation by the CSD.It has also been reported now that Koy was offered 2-5 million baht to "look after" a well known and important contact of Kai who lives in Hong Kong. She repeatedly refused the offer and when the girl and her parents left Kai's home they were accused of theft.Wanichaya Bunsunheng, the daughter of an imprisoned former employee of Kai called Sukanya Sirimuang has also come forward to make a complaint.A husband and wife from Mae Hong Song have also complained after they were imprisoned on what they say were false charges. Janthana Khotkongthai or Noona, 25, and Thanathip Srising, 32, are now out of jail.Kai who claims to be a titled woman has made further ounterclaims that she has evidence backing up her assertions that she was the victim of theft from all those accused.CSD police said that the former Prachacheun station officer called in yesterday and who will be interviewed today is key to resolving the case. No details of his role in the affair have yet been given.Source: Daily News-- 2016-07-
DLang
Nut case. Off her head on the power of being a wealthy Thai in Thailand and having peasants at her disposal. If one doesn't do what she commands, she has them locked up in prison for years. Lovely.
colinneil
This woman should be hauled in, then jailed for human trafficking. Something that Thailand is supposed to be trying to stamp out. Thinks she is above the law, having pet policemen in her pocket. This whole case is disgusting, and should be stamped on and stopped now.

cockatoowho
One wonders how many young girls took up her financial offers and now locked up somewhere servicing whoever. I am sure a little persuasion could get the old hag to spill the beans. Maybe a rusty metal barbed pole would suffice.

What a totally horrible old cow she is, and a pathetic insight into how the police are only too happy to do the bidding of any so called hi-so. The people who were jailed with no other evidence than this old bat,s say-so should compensated with at least 1 Sen Baht for every month in jail ! She is mearly exercising her "rights" under "Sakdina", the ancient right of people who are Hi-So to be above the law as practiced so often in the Kingdom of Thailand! This "right" was banned in 1932 but old habits are haed to lose, just check out you daily paper to see it used everyday by Hi-So's, real and imagined! Sounds like a severe case of red paranoia to me. Even if every red is a criminal it doesn't mean every criminal is a red. Although he conveniently misses the point (ignoring facts as usual) that one of the victims, the young student complained to the police and instigated this, he may inadvertently have a point in that, if the student, her parents and the other complainants are proofed right, then the question of police corruption and involvement arises. Now which particular party has very close links with the police and has never ever done the slightest to curb police corruption in any of their various governments? However, this doesn't seem politically motivated and regardless of the lady's political views or the fact she considers herself a titled HiSo, she should be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted if there is evidence. I think the police should do a search at that woman's house because I think she would fit under the this law about being abnormally rich... She claimed she had a very large win when gambling in HK on one of her two visits there. That can be checked, unless of course she forgot the name of the casino, date, year, how much etc etc etc She also claims to have given very large amounts to charity. Which may be true and perhaps she has the receipts and/or the charities can confirm this. Whatever, she appears to have an income way in excess of her husband's police salary. The anti money laundering authorities and/or the DSI might want to take an interest in the sources of her wealth.
