PATTAYA:-- A Chinese businessman really thought his luck was in when he started chatting with a beautiful sexy Thai girl on Momo chat.

She was slim and sexy and a promising night beckoned when they arranged to meet at View Talay Pattaya Beach Condominium on Thursday night.

But as online businessman Ruxin Song, 28, was waiting at the agreed meeting spot - at 3 am - he was accosted by a ladyboy. The "type two" woman as the Thais call her was not taking no for an answer either.

She grabbed Ruxin by the waist and suggested they go in the room.

"But who are you?" he demanded.

"I'm from Momo chat" came the reply.

The "yuan" finally dropped as the young businessman realized he had been duped. He tried to get away but the ladyboy's ardour was not to be thwarted. They were creating such a disturbance in the upstairs corridor that security, watching on CCTV, went up to sort them out.

The pair were invited downstairs to the lobby where the ladyboy was now less romantic. She demanded 1,000 baht for her wasted time but Ruxin was not having that. His pride was hurt.

There then followed a kind of "pistols at dawn" episode as both pulled out phones to take pictures of the other presumably for evidential purposes. A phone went flying and kicks and punches were aimed as Ruxin called his Thai friend Wanisa - who is definitely a lady - to come and help him.

Ruxin ended up at the Pattaya station with Wanisa where they explained the whole sorry saga and the Chinese reported damage to his phone and spoke of a damaged finger.

Police went to the condo and found out through CCTV and visitor records that the "lady" in question is 32 year old Napatcha Chanathanatisa from Ubon. The hunt is on to bring her to justice.

Though online commenters made the point that the altercation seemed to be six of one and half a dozen of the other. The ladyboy is unlikely to be too happy about the kick she received to her rear.

Most were in agreement, however, about one thing; it is rather unwise to believe too much about pictures one sees or what people might say on online chat.
