KRABI: -- Two Caucasian foreigners videoed in a public street engaging in oral sex have incurred the wrath of an outraged Thai public.

The video that caused a huge amount of comment online is thought to have been shot on Koh Phi Phi in Krabi, southern Thailand, reported Sanook.

The protagonists - a man and a woman - seemed oblivious to members of the public who shouted at them to stop. The two minute clip features the man standing while the woman kneels before him.

Thai language with a southern lilt can be heard as well as exhortations in English after someone suggests to "take a video".

"Why are you doing this?" members of the public shout. "Why do you have to do this outside in public? It's not right!"

Observers suggested that the pair appeared drunk and unaware of what was being said around them.

After a while, though, the message got through and a "wai" was even offered in an attempt at apology, before the amorous couple joined hands and strolled off.

Online comment almost universally condemned the tourists for indulging in such behavior in a public place. It was suggested the couple were drunk or high on drugs...or both.

Many posters agreed that the location was a public street on the holiday island of Koh Phi Phi.

The Thai media however knows that these things outrages the Thai populace, because of course they have been told to be outraged. They have been told this disrespects Thailand. As such you really cannot blame them for anything they do to Farangs after you see that those farangs disrespecting Thailand.

Works really good with the Thai system of morality to justify all things done and to not have to be concerned if tourists get stomped and killed on a regular basis. They deserved it NATCH !

The military government has looked for critical observation ( even in rape/murder cases involving a western female) of attire and inferred morality.

Recent announcements of closing down the sex trade and now this highlight a shift in perception .

We can now be perceived as unwholesome .

Even educated Thais who haven't left Thailand consider western woman cheap and nasty whores. ( in general)

This will just help the government next we are critical of them.

Returning the happiness to the people might equate sweeping us up and out eventually.?

This lewd act is widely seen as representative and indicative of all westerners.

Half the people online name calling us are most likely buying food with the ill earned gains of their daughters wired money into their account.

So you think it is OK for this to happen, that it is only the Thais that are offended seeing something like this in public? What if a family was passing when this was going on? Grandma & Grandpa out for a stroll?

I also notice that the foreigner can do no wrong or hold responsibility in your eyes for their actions. This was obviously induced by others:

How many parents have told their kids, "If you are going to do something, take the time to do it right".

As for children walking by, I would be far more concerned with my kids seeing Ladyboys than seeing this young lady helping her biyfriend with his broken zipper. Any parent walking their kids on Koh Phi-Phi at that hour should be prepared for their kids to see more than they should be.
