Divorce For Thai Friend

Featured Replies

Hello

A friend of my girlfriend is trying to devorce her husband who is back in the uk. He has abandoned his son and hasn't asked about him for well over a year.

Basically he is ignoring letters which she is sending to his solicitor, these letters she has drafted herself as she can't afford a solicitor.

Is the any form of legal aid here in Thailand or charitable aid which could help.

If necessary i will help fanacially but the time as arrived where i need to think about myself as i have helped my family and many other people fanancially and been shat on for doing so.

Many Thanks

maybe you could ask the CAB in the uk on her behalf if she has any way to get him from the UK. If she is his legal wife & the child is registered as his, she may be entitled to legal aid here in the UK. I have no idea if this is the case but it is worth checking.

Where they married in Thailand or the UK?

Is she seeking divorce under UK law or Thai law?
