Thailand has unveiled 115 new train carriages bought from China for the State Railway of Thailand.

Deputy Transport Minister Omsin Chivapruek said the purchase of new and modern train carriages showed the government’s determination to improve train service in Thailand.

The entire new fleet is made up of nine first-class sleepers, 88 second-class sleepers, including nine for the disabled.
