Hello,

does anybody know OTOPs or craftsmen making bamboo boxes and crafts?

Thanks for your information.

I've been looking for bamboo handicrafts too in Bangkok, but I have found little so far. I also want a bamboo table and bamboo chairs, but I don't know where to look, the products I want are like on the bamboo I linked to.

Handicrafts I'm looking for are bamboo chimes to hang outside, tried JJ to no avail.

The best Bamboo place I have found is in Borsang; they make and sell chairs, tables, lamps, boxes, you name it.

If you have ever been to the Red chilli opposite the Tamarind hotel you may have seen the bamboo swinging lovers chairs; well they make those also.

Not cheap but the bamboo is well treated and prepared and its very good quality.

So coming from the city, turn left at the crossroads. on the right you pass the umbrella factory outlet then another 6 umbrella shops. its one of the following few shops on the same side.

find the shop, speak to the salesperson and then go to see where they make them.
