Hi everyone,

I am planning my vacation to BKK for mid February. I am choosing a vacation package through an airline because it's cheaper than buying a ticket and everything seperate. When looking at the rooms one of their selections is "Run of House." I have no clue what this means exactly. I thought I'd ask here since maybe others have encountered it and can tell me what their thoughts were if they chose this option. This is through Northwest Airlines.

Haven't heard that term before :o, but it might be like the "Superior" or "Delux Superior" which seems to be the standard here. Just an ordinary room w/ac and either a queen or two doubles.

In other words, nothing out of the ordinary.

Bob,

Thanks...You are probably right. They give two options...this one and executive, so I guess "run of house" must be the basic as you said.

Whatever the hotel decides to provide you. Normally the cheapest room. In most modern hotels not a major problem but for older units it may be an inside room with no windows or such.

AFAIK, Run of House is a hotel industry term for reservations that are not for specific classes of room. You take whatever is available, at the lowest rate, for such reservations.

Thanks all...

I guess I will go with the executive then. I'm planning on staying at the Century Park. Not the Peninsula etc, but hopefully not too bad.
