PHUKET:-- Royal Thai Police Deputy Commander Gen Wuthi Liptapallop today (Aug 19) assured 15 consuls in Phuket that the island was safe for tourists after the bombings in Patong last Friday (Aug 12).

Tropical storm Dienmu warning in 29 northern and northeastern provinces

People in 29 northern and northeastern proviinces have been warned to brace for torrential rains, possible landslides and flash floods from today (Friday) until Sunday as a result of tropical storm Dienmu which has made landfall in Vietnam today.

Cambodia urges Pokemon Go players to be vigilant while playing in Angkor complex

 

PHNOM PENH, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia on Friday advised Pokemon Go players to be cautious while playing in the complex of the famed Angkor archaeological park.

 

"For temples' safety and personal safety, the Apsara Authority would like to appeal to all national and international tourists to have high responsibility in playing Pokemon Go in the Angkor area, especially in the complex of ancient temples," Sum Map, director general of the Apsara Authority, which manages the park, said in a statement.
