One of the injured victims of a car bomb explosion in Pattani province on Tuesday night has died at the provincial hospital, bringing the total death toll to two.

The victim, 64-year old Komsant Kutedateng, owner of a mini-mart located close to the Southern View Pattani hotel which was the target of the bomb blast, had been hospitalized since he was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. He died on Friday and his family planned to take his body to a cemetery in Ban Kuandin, Nong Chik district, for burial.

Mr Arun Thongkhao, chief of the centre to assist bomb victims, said that the centre had already disbursed the first instalment of 6.4 million baht in compensation to 37 victims whose properties were damaged by the blast.

Earlier, 700,000 baht in compensation were paid to the injured and family of a dead man.

Total damage to properties was estimated at about 30 million baht, said Mr Arun.

RIP  Komsant Kutedateng . Condolences to family and friends

We can only hope that those criminals/terrorists are caught and dispatched from this earth quickly. There would be no RIPs or condolences for or about them from most of us! What they have taken from others should be taken from them.
