Apologies if wrong forum.

 

I just read a thread ( archived ) that made it appear that the department did the translation as well as the legalisation. I thought you had to obtain the translation yourself prior to going to the legalisation department.

Can someone clarify please?

They do if you pay, can't remember price but it wasn't cheap. Shouldn't be much for only a passport. Be there half an hour before they open if you go yourself

 

You can use any translation agency and even pay them to send a messenger there and post the certified translation to you afterwards.
