fullcave
Most install a bed liner first thing, however, that's not going to help in a collision like the one posted above. OUCH...

There's a video playing inside Ford showrooms that have increasing sized loads being dropped from height by a crane into a new Ranger pickup bed. Has all sorts of weights, heights and loads superimposed. Tried looking for it on the 'net but haven't seen it yet. The latest local Ranger incarnation is the FX4 which isn't a copy of Ford USA's FX4 styling for their F-series trucks. More paint-job and decals for sure but haven't seen anything upping the actual tech specs locally.

At that point they may take a prepaid order with the understanding that they will produce/manufacture when X amount of that part is pre-ordered so as to be ecconomically feasable.... It's possible some are actually available but some dealers will hide/horde them either for their customers or higher resale pricing/ransom....Some dealers do this quite well at this & have for years.....If they show them on the Ford network the company only pays the original price.....Many dealers have a good idea what parts will be on demand but NLA....Thus the hording..... Wouldn't worry about the 20....
