Chinese tourist goes missing at Sriracha Tiger Zoo

SRIRACHA: -- A combined force of 200 zoo employees, police, soldiers and district officials continued the search of a Chinese tourist after she went missing yesterday afternoon while visiting the Sriracha Tiger Zoo with her tour group.

 

Mrs Gao Li Ping, 35, in black sunglasses and hat, was wearing white shirt and red shorts when she went missing yesterday afternoon.

 

The last place she was seen in the CCTV camera of the zoo was at the pond of the zoo.

 

The pond is used to store water for use during the hot season.

My Mrs was telling me about this earlier, it would seem that she separated from her husband just prior to the trip to Thailand, sure hope she didn't go to the Crocodile enclosure :(

See what happens when you stop the Chinese using their own tour guides      ...Thai tour guides are worse than Australian dive boat operators. :P

I wish I had a tongue like that tiger.

Hopefully the lady got confused and followed the wrong tour leader and went back

to the hotel on another bus. :blink:

Missing Chinese tourist found

SRIRACHA: -- The 35-year-old Chinese tourist went missing for two days while visiting Sriracha Tiger Zoo with her tour group since Sunday afternoon was found this morning safe and sound.

 

Mrs Gao Li Ping was staying with a local Thai family at about 4 kilometres from the zoo.

 

She was cooking food at the village house as a team of local journalist team located her.

 

Local authorities are comforting her and are convincing her to return home.

 

Mrs Gao Li Ping, 35 was wearing white shirt and red shorts when she went missing on Sunday.

 

The last place she was seen in the CCTV camera of the zoo was at the pond of the zoo.

CHONBURI — A Chinese woman who reportedly vanished at a tiger zoo in Chonburi province was found Tuesday hiding in a farmer’s hut in a nearby rice field, police said.

 

Gau Li Ping (transcribed from Thai) separated herself from a tour group Sunday at the Si Racha Tiger Zoo and hid in the hut because she feared for her life if she returned to China, a local police chief said.

That's what I wonder. Thailand is an attractive place. I think the new wealth that Chinese have to travel abroad has to be making them see the world differently. It's a world of possibilities.  Some no doubt want to live under a different regime, or realize that China will limit their potential.
