Sound And Flash On Thaivisa?

Featured Replies

It would be nice to be able to embed sound (.mp3) and flash (xx.swf) files in thaivisa correspondence or blogs, but maybe this is not possible? I haven't been successful at it.

Taking a sound file as an example, usually in a web page you can do something like this:

<EMBED SRC="www.thailanguageschool.com/sounds/p1to10.mp3" CONTROLS=SMALLCONSOLE>

Can't do it on Thaivisa (blogs, for example).

On the other hand if I put in this code:

[url=http://www.thailanguageschool.com/sounds/p11to23.mp3][b][color=#CC0000]here[/color][/b][/url].

It shows up like this:

here.

and will open a new browser which opens whatever program you have that plays mp3 files. But this is more complicated, better if the sound just played in your browser.

Any ideas? Is there a blog technical guru out there (I can't get any response from moderators/administrators)

Thanks much,

Swelters

Simple, not supported file formats on TV.

It is partly an effort to keep the bandwidth usable to as many people as possible. (Or so I have been led to believe) There may be other reasons, but I think that is the main one.

^^^^^^

Yep, that has to be the reason.

I for one don't want naff noises or slow-loading animations/videos that I can't turn off. Many users are on dial-up or GPRS and just cannot afford the bandwidth.
