iOS 10 and WatchOS 3 rolling out

Featured Replies

Apple began making these updates available last night BKK time, but I am not seeing the update available as of now.

Anybody updated yet?

And if you have, comments?

Just an update: iOS 10 is now available and it's downloading for me. Still no sign of Watch OS3, though.

We here about someone getting bricked with each and every update. I've updated my iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2. Both are fine and I'm just now checking out the new features.

Apple’s iOS 10 Download Was Bricking iPhones. It’s Fixed Now

Apple's response: “We experienced a brief issue with the software update process, affecting a small number of users during the first hour of availability,” Apple said in an emailed statement. “The problem was quickly resolved and we apologize to those customers."

So now you can fearlessly go forward with your update.

And this update really is quite substantial. Here are 25 new features in iOS 10.

Luckily it didn't brick my phone, and I've now tweaked iOS10 to my satisfaction.  I like that the previously-wasted Search screen now can have useful widgets on it.  Very reminiscent of my Sony Android phone.

I disabled the need to press the home button after entering the passcode.  What is that useful for?  After entering the passcode (actually I use the fingerprint reader) I want to use the phone -- not have to press yet another button before I can do so.
