Phuket Softball Starting in November!

Hi Everyone,

 

I'm organizing weekly slo-pitch softball games beginning in November at the Alan Cooke Cricket Grounds. Details will follow. Everyone is welcome to play, regardless of age, gender or experience. We'll have bats, balls, bases and enough gloves for everyone (provided that the island isn't freakishly left handed). The plan is for fun weekly games with teams changing from week to week based on attendance. If that goes well and enough people express interest, we can consider forming a small league.

 

If you'd like to be kept updated, please PM me with your email address. It would help stir up interest if you also posted here that you'd like to play, so please do so. If you want to add a line or two about yourself and your baseball/softball experience, that would be great too,

 

If you have any suggestions, comments, have any equipment you can donate, or anything else you'd like to add, please post here.

 

I look forward to seeing many of you in November!

Doubleheader on January 28th

 

Let's play 2! Come on out for some friendly slo pitch softball at the Alan Cooke Grounds in Phuket. Everyone is welcome! We'll be playing two 7 inning games. The first game starts at noon sharp. Show up at 11:30 if you want to take some batting practice and warm up. There will be extra gloves for you to use if you don't have equipment with you.

It's 100 THB per player, all of which goes to the ACG to cover use and maintenance of the field.

Beats56 - The only baseball glove shop in Thailand I know of is Pao's Space: https://www.facebook.com/paospace/?fref=ts

FBT in Bangkok also has gloves, but the selection is poor and they're overpriced. Come on out to the game on the 28th. You're welcome to borrow a couple gloves, as long as you bring them back in time for the following Saturday.

Update: The next game is on February 11th at noon at the Alan Cooke Grounds. Aim for 11:30 if you want to warm up and take batting practice before the game.
