Cat eaten by a snake at the Cat and Dog Rescue Samui

KOH SAMUI:-- Yesterday the DCRS, (Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation Samui) again had a visitor to the puppy house where occasionally cats are cared for.

The visitor was a rather large snake that sadly found a cat which is swallowed. Island snake man Phil was called to the scene and professionally captured the snake. A post on their Facebook page read “We can only hope that the cat quickly die and not have to suffer to long.”

the cat won't suffer long, but the prey is swallowed alive, typically dying of asphyxiation

Sorry, you are wrong. Snakes DO NOT swallow their prey live. They also DO NOT asphyxiate them. Their constriction cuts off blood flow throughout the body. Death is very quick.

Circle of life, it seems that that snakes likes cats as our Soi is void of either feral

dogs and cats and that is good...

Cambodians like them also  :P

The cat needed a ladder; a snake alone is not fair.

Go Cats.

so much sorrow for anything that dies in thailand how can we stop animals from eating each other? thank god all the thais dont eat meat so no animals suffer in the slaughter houses.

Wish one of those snakes would visit my soi ...too many pesty cats around

Can I have this snake please ? Need one to clear up all unwanted cats and dogs in the area

Where are the work permit posts?

Sorry, if that is so 2014.

Not exactly a riveting story but nice to see Phil the Snake at work, this guy is amazing and provides such a valuable service on Samui.
