Are we still allowed to play with our private parts or is that a protected occupation, restricted to local professionals only?

I haven't seen that played in a pad with a group of mixed males and females, but if you know of any haunts IM me. Don't broadcast it on here the Army might be reading ....  Is it first out the winner or the last man standing?

Yeah sure, ok, but let's see that applied to all, including the rich, powerful and gun hugging folks playing at being either military or politicians...it's not clear which.

Then let's see some sensible laws. I mean, really... dominoes!?

be fair, one must beware of the beginning's, first dominoes then bridge followed by poker and wanting democracy

If you are playing Chess or Checkers or even playing a game of Monopoly here in Thailand, you may get 2 to 5 yrs in Jail or just pay a 5.000 baht fine.

What about playing pacience on the phone.

Would the pensioners be allowed to play Pokemon while using a rollator? That would give Bkk's traffic the deathblow.

Every day I wonder, how stupid can they actually become here? ...And then I read the news.

In my village, the local police regularly raid a house here and a house there in the afternoon. The villagers -predominantly the women - are ether playing cards or dominoes.  If the "look out" is not asleep, many can escape  through a back door.

Having been caught, they are taken down to the amphur police station, where they are booked to appear in Buriram court the next morning. They are then set free to make their own way home.

The following morning they are picked up and make the 44km journey in the back of a pick up (illegal in itself!) The court will generally fine everyone 1,500baht (prison for those that cannot pay), whilst the house owner is fined more. Once again they are left to their own devices to get home.

Absolute scum of the earth. I'm surprised they didn't charge them all with Lese Majeste. No need to follow the law or be fair, just make it up as you go and pull nonexistent "laws" out of your rectum at will.

Gambling (except horse racing and the government lottery) is illegal in Thailand. 'Nuff said.

Hi Trump. I would love to bang your daughter.

Maybe someone had watched "Analyse This" and concluded that the age profile of the group assembling under the pretext of playing an innocent game was suspect.

Gosh! Gee mister, thanks for telling us that! I know it includes flipping a coin at the start of a game and other disgusting acts....we are eternally in your debt for your sage advice! :passifier::wai:

It's good to know that the Thai military have their priority sorted out.
It's a good combat training for cases of national security....or is this already such a case of national security?
General Prayut should use his special powers under Sec. 44 of the Military Constitution to search all households for Domino stones and search all mobile phone for such game apps...

Sorry gotta go and delete some apps!

You could just imagine the scene if the BiB came across a game of Monopoly - they'd think they'd hit the jackpot..!!!!

I'm just curious...  Every definition of "gambling" I could find equates gambling to betting or wagering on an uncertain outcome.  All of the games mentioned in this thread involve uncertain outcomes.  So one COULD gamble on them.  But gambling requires betting or wagering (and the implied passing of money based on those wagers).  It might be reasonable to postulate that gambling was occurring in this instance.  But was there any mention of evidence that they were actually gambling?  Simply keeping score would not constitute such evidence.  Or is evidence not required for conviction in such cases?  Is playing games of chance assumed to constitute per se evidence of gambling?

yeah, we don't really want any authority spying on what we write

- but the bibs do really need to see what the world audience is saying about their babies with a bib - crying over spilt milk antics

More crazed pensioners arrested for playing dominoes not even a mention about them all shooting up on heroin, are these stunts caused by the lack of knowledge and travel by the Thais not seeing people / family’s  enjoying themselves having a laugh and playing cards or dominoes for a few pence per game. Or are they told instructed by government from an early age any type of gambling is bad just go to the casino in Cambodia and watch how to lose money like the Thai Elite do. Total joke complete non story once again.

STOP PRESS! Toys R Us in Central World just raided and the staff and management arrested for selling dominoes, not to mention Monopoly, Scrabble and Snakes and Ladders.

STOP PRESS 2! Dominoes Pizza on Sukhumvit raided. Police confused after finding no evidence of gambling.
