Ernst Voight
I have collected coins (Money coins) over the years while I have visited Thailand. Someone told me now that some coins must have become valuable, if not very valuable. I am now looking for someone who can tell me what coins are valuable or not. Anyone can help? Thanks Ernesto. blackcab
Have you got a 1990 ten baht coin? Or a 1962 first series 1 baht coin?

Jedsada3
I also collect coins of Thailand. I have many books and if you want, I can check their worth in the Standard Catalog of Thai Coins (in THB) or in the Worldcoins Catalogue (in US$). I am also member in Numista (under the same nick). I wrote an article over the history of Thai money. Unfortunately it's in French and still didn't have time to translate it.
Grubster
I took some of those silver bullet coins and a silver trade canoe back to a large coin dealer in America, he tested them and said they were over 80% silver and the rest copper mix. He said I could get 50% of silver price as they have to remove the copper. He also informed me that very few countries have ever made high quality coins, and the vast majority of them are not worth more than the metal they are made of. I would think a nice collection would be worth something in the country of origin. I have a metal detector and hope to find some. I sure have found a lot of current coins, Nothing old yet. Terdsak
If you bought any of them from that old faker who used to fish in the drains and pretend to pull out old coins as farangs walked past on Rama 1, opposite Siam Square years ago, probably not worth much.
