Swimming pools with public access ?

Featured Replies

My partner and I (Yank and Aussie ;)) are near the outside N/E corner of the moat around Chaeng Sri Poom. The apartment we stay in has no pool and sometimes we like a refreshing swim or 3 etc. We have a vehicle and are not afraid to use it..., and have previously visited some falls (Mae Sa, I think), Grand Canyon(uncertain water quality and little shade) and my partner has been to The Amora Hotel's pool before (apparently not bad)..., but we are interested in relaxing and refreshing visits to other pools or even waterfalls where the water quality and setting is tolerable etc. I know there's a pool at the stadium behind us, but it looks more like a lap swimming pool. We're interested to visit relaxing places, possibly with some shade, maybe a cafe ? We don't mind paying a reasonable entrance or user fee..., can anyone offer any positive suggestions ?:wai:

Some of the condos around town allow non-residents to use their pool and/or gym facilities for a small fee.
As for a nice dip with a cool waterfall, try Mok Fa (Mork Fa in Google), on the way to Pai, but only about 50km out of town. There is a nice outdoor restaurant before the short lane to the falls and a next door art gallery.

Centre of the Universe , very close to you, give it a google  for full info

ask for Phil (OWNER)a very affable pommy, who used to swim laps with E/S at the Amari Rimcombe, many many years ago

the entire setup, is super, and the water is extremely clean as a whistle

just say the aussie from the Amari, sent you,and you are on your way:D

its a ripa of a good morning to all:)

Believe many hotels offer pool use for a fee.  I know for fact it was a policy at Lotus Pang Suan Kaew when I used to visit a decade ago.

There's a few options for a cool relaxing arvo dip or 3..., away from the hustle and bustle, thanks all.

The eco resort has a great pool for swimming and lounging around. It is open to the public and the pool is very large.

Holiday Inn allows non residents to use their gym, pool and sauna for a daily or monthly fee

Phil wants 100 baht per hour to swim, on short term membership.  Just down the lane is the 700 year stadium Olympic sized pool, 100 baht all day, or 30 baht with 750 baht per year membership.  I do wish the 700 year pool opened at 6:30 am, before the blazing sun is up.  Lovely hour then.

Imagine if there was an early opening pool...., where one could sup a decent cup...., of Jo..., or similar !
