Accident Man Killed Instantly After Crashing Car While Fleeing Police in Kanchanaburi
Picture courtesy of Khaosod. A 25-year-old man was killed instantly after his car slammed into a utility pole and split apart while fleeing a police checkpoint in Kanchanaburi late night on 30 July, The fatal crash occurred at approximately 22:45, with CCTV footage from a nearby restaurant capturing the moment a speeding car driver lost control on a bend and collided violently with a roadside electricity pole in the Kanchanaburi municipal area. Police from Mueang Kanchanaburi Police Station and rescue workers from the Pitak Kan Foundation rushed to the scene. They found the vehicle completely destroyed, with the driver, identified as Mr Sasipong, dead behind the wheel. Scattered across the road were more than 20 bottles of kratom-laced beverage, believed to have been in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Officers also discovered a concealed automatic firearm in the man’s shoulder bag, along with a magazine loaded with seven .45 calibre rounds. Police confirmed the incident began when the suspect approached a checkpoint near the Kanchanaburi city pillar shrine but attempted to evade officers by suddenly steering away. Law enforcement personnel pursued the vehicle, which ultimately crashed during the attempted escape. Initial investigations suggest that Mr Sasipong may have panicked upon seeing the checkpoint, likely due to the presence of an illegal firearm, ammunition and a large quantity of kratom drink inside his vehicle. Authorities are continuing their inquiry into the incident and the origins of the weapon and kratom-based substances. Adapted by Asean Now from Khoasod 2025-07-31 -

Out of Control.
Give it a rest lad. Today some 10,000 MExican migrants crossed into the USA. India has a porous border with Myanamar. Even in the states of Thailand have just random porous borders with Myanmar. Thousands of Nepalese enter CHina daily. Happens everywhere. Get a life. I'd rather take a economic migrant than a sex migrant in Pattaya. -
