Where to Buy Small High Quality Motorcycle Helmet?

Featured Replies

Greetings,

I'm attempting to determine where I could purchase a high quality, small (women's size) helmet in Chiang Mai. There are plenty of shops selling the cheap-o brain buckets, but I'd like to find something like a (authentic) Shoei, Bell, Icon, HJC, etc... I've been to a couple motorcycle shops around CM that sell "real" helmets like this, but they're never in my wife's size. They're always in men's sizes and styles.

Can anyone recommend a shop that might stock small helmets like this? If not, where could I go to order one? We're unsure about the size, so I'm hoping to find something she can try on in the shop.

Thanks.

Have you tried the shop on the ground floor in Pantip Plaza?  Go in the entrance thats on the same road as Gecko Garden and its on the left...sorry I dont know the name of the shop.

Alternetively Helmet 2 Home on the same road as aforementioned entranceway may be able to help...its just along from Surowong bookshop.

I'm not familiar with either of these shops, but I'll check them out. I've been to Pantip many times and have never noticed a shop selling helmets. Is it accessed from the outside of the building or inside?

Go in the entrance on Sridonchai Road and it is on the left hand side

You can get in from either side.  If you use the entrance on Sri Donchai Rd (that's the street that runs from the moat south to the river,) walk in, stay on the left side of the corridor, and the motorcycle supply shop is 10m-15m from the entrance on the left.  The 'Helmet2Home' motorcycle supply shop on on that same street, but back a few blocks.  As you travel south along Sri Donchai Rd, you will pass Surowong Bookshop on the right. "Helmet2Home" on just past, but on the left side of the street. The exterior is NOT impressive... It looks like one of the small, cheap helmet places. But inside is a rather large treasure trove of motorcycle goods, much of which is very high quality! Certainly worth a look-around if you are a rider!

Yes the guy in Pantip is good...pricey but good

Try Helmet 2 Home on Chang Puak

Not far from the moat/chang puak gate...watch on right for 2 story shop with all helmets showing on right side of road

before it gets to one way section

http://helmet2home.tarad.com/index.php?lang=en

They have Shoei, Arai, Shark, AGV etc

Also you know the Kawasaki Shop on the Moat has a nice selection usually AGV etc

https://www.facebook.com/sangchaiturakit.kawasaki

There are many others if you want look at the Pekky pro super bike shop next to Kad su kow also

https://www.facebook.com/PEKKYPRO/

Lastly the guy across Suriwong book store on Sri Donchai road right near Pantip sometimes can surprise

with some good models too

Have purchased 2 high-quality, small (child) size helmets from the shop across from Suriwong Book Store over the years. Don't recall the brands but much better than the average ones sold here. One had to be ordered from Bangkok.  Took about a week.

I thought Pekky Pro had closed down quite some time ago.....there seems to be a cafe/bar or some sorts there nowadays.

Helmet2Home do indeed have two branches run by husband and wife team.  Chang Puak or Sri Donchai Road.

Pekky moved across the street (same side as Kad Su Kaw) Bigger place

But really I think prices will be better at the other places

I just visited Helmet 2 Home. They had a great selection, including small sizes. We picked up a quality helmet that fits her just fine. Thanks for the suggestions!
