I'v Got Visa Vertigo...help!

I've entered Thailand, as an American, on a visa-exempt status...I guess? My stamp states until December 15th. I'd like to stay until my trip to Spore on January 7th. What are my options, short of leaving and coming back in again?

1. Can I get a multiple re-entry/non-immigrant visa from within Thailand?

2. How much would it cost?

3. Where do I go to apply and what do I bring?

4. If I get do I really get to come back and forth (for total of 90-days each time) for a total of 15-times for the year permit?

If I say there are ads in the classified section of the Bangkok Post every day of all inclusive travel from Bangkok at a cost of about 2,000 baht I bet you will not be in Bangkok so best we know first.

Am sure Pattaya would be about the same price. Not sure of organized trips from Chiang Mai or other areas but know there are some.

Oh yeah, should I apply for a multiple re-entry--during my lengthy stint in Spore--if I plan to return and play around a bit for about 6 months? Is this possible in Spore?

If it is more than 30 days...you are gonna need a visa for there too buddy!

If you intend to return a visa would be highly advised. I am not at all sure you will be able to obtain more than a single entry however.

Thanks Lopburi. You mean when I go to Spore and want to return I cannot--beforehand at the Thai Embassy in Spore--apply for a multiple re-entry visa?

What is the suggestion for me to aquire a multiple re-entry permit?

By the way, I'm scanning those BKK posts for visa runs. Gosh, how does one determine if these guys are on the up-and-up? Would hate to get over there and not be able to come back in...

You expect them to leave you in the middle of a rice paddy? There are only a handful and would not last long in that case. You present your passport they provide the transport and fee payments and lead the way. Believe most also include a lunch.

A multi re entry permit is for people on one year extensions of stay and has nothing at all to do with you.

You can apply for a two entry tourist visa if they will accept your application and KL or Singapore might provide with a near virgin passport.
