I have been going to SEAQUEST gym IN sAMUI for the last few yrs when ive been in Samui, but I think that they are in the dark ages now. Yes, they have got air-con and new windows now but their equipment is still old now, isnt it???

Can anyone recommened any other gyms? Prices/opening-closing times/classes etc!!??

I know that I can go to Lake side every night for a free gereatric aerobic session. Im not knocking it, cos every bit of cardio, is better than nothing. And if I cant get anything else, then I will be at lake side at 6pm, strutting my stuff in my lycra!!!

But, if there is anywhere on the island that does aerobic exersise, I would love to know.

I would love to do the Thai boxing thing. Not the fighting, just the training, but I have no idea how, why, who, what, whatever, to go about this.

If any of you guys out there can give me some tips, then i will be very appreciative.

Cheers

just turn up. Most of the gyms have morning and afternoon classes. Pop in to any of them and ask. All you need are a pair of shorts and a singlet, naturally you need no footwear. Women are welcome, you will find at least one woman training at each gym. If you dont feel comfortable you'll find they all offer one on one training. You dont need to fight

Best gym on the island is HIPPO GYM in Maenam. 15 months old. Farang owned, Thai run. Great staff. Music pumping, although every week i have to turn off the eurotrash and put on something decent! Excellent free weights and machines including running, cross country etc etc. Plenty of mirrors for you girls! A couple of boxing bags.

Approx 1500 per month or pay up 6 months and get good discount.

When driving from Bophut go past Santiburi Hotel on your right and turn right into Soi Maenam Beach Road. Take your first right into Soi Gym.
