Lost car licence plate

Featured Replies

Good evening, i'm owner of a car and i live i kamala. Two days ago il lost the front licence plate  of my car in the Patong flood.  I went to the police office to declare it and they delivered  me  a paper...

i would appreciate if anyone can give me the process i have to follow from now.

Many thanks for you assistance.

With the police report to the DLT. In about one month you can collect a new plate.

No need for your DL. Just the blue book and the police report.

The DLT will give you a slip of paper, keep that in your car and show the police if they hassle you for no number plate.

I see quite a few cars with their back number missing & wonder if the owners are actually aware of it & the fact they might have been stolen for use in other crimes.

I do not disagree with you but made a general comment about the back plate. You cam imagine those using a car to commit a crime using stolen plates & the possible consequences to the legal owners having to explain to police especially if they have not reported the plate was missing.

With a lost front plate youre more likely to get fined, much more visible to police at the road side.
