I came to Thailand on Sept 5th and I plan to stay here till 29th Oct as my Visa ends that day(I have a SETV tourist visa). Now I plan to come back to Thailand on Nov 20th(after 20 days or so) and stay until Dec 23 so can I come back to Thailand using same visa by getting Reentry Permit(is it possible on SETV?) as my ENTER BEFORE on passport says 30th Nov 2016 or Do i have a apply for new visa?

A re-entry permit is issued for a permit to stay. You could get one for your 60 day entry and it would allow you to get the same admitted until date you got when you entered the country.

SETV means one entry before the expire date ,,,its not that difficult to understand what it means.

so when you come again you have two options

1.Get a new SETV

2.Get visa exempt (30 day stay ) when you enter Thailand ,but this will not be long enough for your planned stay in Nov through to Dec ,but you can get extension at immigration this will cost you 1900 bhat though, much cheaper to go and get the SETV and you will have no issues regarding your stay in Thailand.

So the answer is 'yes' contrary to the two other opinions in this thread?

The answer is not yes in the context of the OPs question.

No it is not.

The OP thought that a re-entry permit could be issued for a visa. They are issued for a permit to stay and will have a validity date equal to the date it ends.
