Tourist visa extension question

Recommended Posts

I will be getting my first extension on Thursday and just want some input on the requirements please.

I have my passport with tourist visa, entry stamp and the blank departure card stapled in there, all okay?

I have 1 passport size photo and will get the photocopies of the passport pages done tomorrow.

What's the deal with requirements for my place of stay? I rent a condo but don't have records of payment as it's done via online banking. Would taking the 1 year lease be ok, should I screenshot online payments or ask the condo office for proof?

Just a bit confused about this, thanks for reading.

you need 2 passport photos now.

re condo proof i use my utilities bill

At most offices only one photo will be needed. The photo should be 4 X 6 cm or slightly larger (2" X 2" is OK).

Whether proof of residence is need is also dependent upon the office used.

Huh how come they need larger ones now? I've got a stack of normal passport size photos I was going to use for visas and extensions but I guess not.

Thanks, I'll get some more taken tomorrow.

For a TM7 application form it has always been a 4 X 6 cm photo size. I assume you have 3.5 X 4.5 passport photos which are to small. Some offices might accept them but many will not.

When a passport size photo is mentioned it is a 2" X 2" photo which is the traditional size for them.
