Duterte believes Trump will be fair to illegal immigrants

MANILA: -- Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said he trust US President-elect Donald Trump’s judgement that he would be fair in the treatment of illegal immigrants, the Philippine Inquirer Online reported on Thursday.

In an interview with reporters on Tuesday night, the president acknowledged Trump’s intent to deport up to 3 million illegal immigrants.

“I trust in his judgement that he would be fair in the matter of the treatment of illegal immigrants,”he said, adding however that he could not talk for the illegals “because whether President Trump or anybody else that matter, an illegal is always an illegal.”

He also said he was sure he would get along with Trump with whom he is often likened.

However, administration officials are playing down Trump’s threat and the likely impact of mass deportation of Filipino from the US.

There are 3.5 million Filipinos living in the US as of 2013. Of those, 271,000 are illegals.

Labour Secretary Silvestre Bello said only a few Filipinos were working illegally in the US. He also said the illegals could look to the government for help, but a crackdown could severely strain government logistics, emergency livelihood and job programmes.

Not to worry, it'l take the USA at least 4 years to deport the illegals that have committed crimes in America and they are the first on the list.

What does that mass murdering foul mouthed tin pot autocrat Duterte know about internal USA issues?

It does seem though, as was predictable, that a Duterte - trump BROMANCE is developing.

Birds of a feather.

"Operation Wetback was not simply the enforcement of immigration laws but a campaign of fear against immigrants."

Probably won't happen at all.

Many big city mayors are resisting trumpists on this. Immigrants won't cooperate with police in fighting crime if they're worried about being deported for that.

If trump tries to punish big cities for doing this, considering we're talking about many of our biggest and most important cities, including New York, Chicago, and L.A., be prepared for a BATTLE ROYALE.

So many of trump's campaign promises, such as killing Obamacare, if done will create massive, loud, messy, and quite likely violent OPPOSITION. So where does he spend his political capital exactly? The man already enters office the most unpopular president elect in U.S. history.

That said, people that think they can predict precisely what a WILD man like trump will actually do when things get really hard core and real, are obviously wrong. He's extremely unpredictable. That's one reason so many Americans and global leaders too are very much on edge now.

Well, Trump won't have time for anything because he said he will start building The Wall with his own hands.

Let's see about this on Jan 21st - probably his new Philly bff will give him a hand there, looks more like a suitable 'profession' for him anyway ...

If Duterte and Trump can corral one more ?? they can surely give the 3 Stooges a run for their money. They seemed joined at the hip. One thing about Duterte he may not be the most polished banana on the tree but he knows which way the wind is blowing.
