Bob Dylan can't hold a note but a wordsmith. Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull must be up there.Peter Gabriel? Jimmy Barnes has a way with words.

Robert Hunter, so many Grateful Dead songs have interesting lyrics.

Back in the day, man, Bernie Taupin wrote some pretty decent lyrics. His mate, Elton John, set them to music. He wasn't too shoddy either.
