Did you happend to get the number of that stunning young girl in the third photo wearing the black jersey, sarong, and pumps.

There are loads of extremely beautiful women with a genuinely good heart all over Myanmar. This was just one of the many. Will see if I can post some more pictures of the ladies.

Thanks.  Looking forward to seeing them.  How much do you need per day to get by travelling around in the rural areas.  Where did you stay in those areas.  Are there cheap homestays?  Any photos of your meals?

As this is in fact a picture thread I will keep my answer very short. Sorry. Traveling around with public transportation is dirt cheap. I would say a few dollars per day. There are always many options, as i.e. buses, share taxis, planes, taxis, trains and motorbikes. I am not a budget traveler / backpacker and over the years I stayed in all sorts of hotels. From 2 stars to 5 stars. All of these were good. Never looked for homestays. Will post pictures of meals (very good quality and also dirt cheap).

Isn't  it nice to see people wearing clothes that don't have stupid brand names and broken English scribbled on them.

Well they sure look like cigars, not sure what else one would call them!   I had a puff on one and found it quite mild...

Then there is the red beetle nut  that everyone seems to chew and spit out...:bah: never did that.... shops making them seemed have a steady trade!

We should try to keep to 3 images per post..... I know it can be a pain, but those with slower modems have problems....

Lest we forget. This was our firs stop near Yangon, I was amazed at how well they keep the 1939-1945 war memorial...
