BANGKOK: -- The Meteorological Department said today that overall temperatures in the country's upper region dropped by 3-5 degrees Celsius.

 

It said temperatures on  hilltops and mountain tops have dropped most to 9-12 degrees Celsius.

 

For Bangkok and adjacent provinces, it said temperatures dropped by 1-3 degrees Celsius.

 

For the South, it said more thundershowers are not expected.

So it is time for the Thais wearing their snowboots, gloves, eskimo winter jackets...

 

I wish I was in Bangkok now, because last Spring in March it was

roasting and temps were near 40C,

  I did have a cold few days near Chang Mai several

years ago when it was about 3 to 5C in the mornings

and the Thai house I stayed at , never even had glass in

any of the windows,  just  wooden slats to keep the sunshine out

I was glad I had a hoody and Fall jacket to wear until the sun

warmed the place up.

Noticed the difference. Very pleasant night temperature now, just about optimal.
