Canadian marriage affidavit expiry date?

Featured Replies

A few days ago I got the marriage affidavit saying I am not currently married. How long until this expires, forcing me to do the affidavit process again?

Also I have not done the certified translation yet, does this also have an expiry?

Some Amphoes will not accept a affirmation of permit to marry that is more than 30 days old. When the translation was done would not matter.

Dear Ubon Joe,

the Affirmation to marry (without endorsement of MFA) was done in Mid Nov 16, then i exit the thailand and return to Malaysia, and left all the document to agent for legalization.

Then suddenly agent called and said MFA reject my application for legalization, because i exit the thailand, and will only process my application once i had shown i re-enter thailand.

they said new rule.

What a hassle, if that the case, what is the point of using Agent anymore.

I had no choice, but to reenter thai on Jan 2017 for my wedding ceremony  and will had to legalized the affirmation to marry,

not even sure whether will it be expired or not.
