Hello.

 

About a decade ago I was in Chang Mai and I visited an art store where they had many cloth wall hanging pieces of art. I think it was run by a foreigner if I remember correctly.

 

I believe they are wax paintings on cloth. 

 

I'd like to get more of these and have searched the web throughout the years with no success. 

 

Does anyone know of a store like this? It was close to downtown Chang Mai. 

 

I recently ran into a link to a Panda Batik Art Store, but the link is a phishing scheme.

Balik is more an Indonesian thing . maybe that is where he is getting them ,

 

the wax goes where you want no color , then the cloth is died , and wax is washed off leaving the image,

lots  of videos on Youtube

 

I am sure its also done other places , I saw something like that on NHK - Japan TV
