Sad news – Friends of the Special Needs School Samui organisation closes

SAMUI: -- Today the Samui Times received the following sad news with regards to the closing of the organisation Friends of the Special Needs School Samui

It is not without a touch of sadness that I inform you the FSNSS will cease to function with effect from 31 December 2016. This is largely due to health concerns.

Some four years or so we came together as a group in order to encourage financial support and awareness for the then unknown Special Needs School here on the Island.

No one then imagined the amazing response that would follow and through the tireless efforts and dedication of the many organisations and individuals who have been involved, the school foundation is now proudly the owner of it’s own purpose built school in Bang-Rak.

It is sincerely hoped that everyone will continue to support them.

A huge “Thank You” to you all.

Yours sincerely

on behalf of all FSNSS members past and present

David Wilkinson

Chairman.

N.B.

Rotary Club of Samui are currently completing a security wall and gates to the school, which, if the rains hold off, should be completed in the near future.
