I'm off to the beach later but I will bear in mind all the sensitivities raised in this thread. I will wear shorts below the knee and a t-shirt with sleeves for the ride to the beach. However, once on the beach I think saggy Y-front underpants, string vest and knotted handkerchief are acceptable beach wear. I've seen worse.

Look "bad" - Look "unattractive". What's the difference? Most of us choose clothes in an effort to look good. Whether we do or not depends on who's looking. My fashionista wife normally decides what looks good and what does not, but I have a lot of input into what she wears too.

 

I don't spend 1000 - 2000 baht on shorts in an effort to look unattractive, but based on your particular bias, I do. As you said, we're all entitled to our opinions.
