Theres people routinely paying 25 - 40k a year to have agents do thier legal visa extensions.. And you think 100k for life is anything like an accepted price..

I think if they did 100k a year they would go like hotcakes..

Up-to-them of course, my own route (retirement-extensions of an O-A) costs me about B6k a year, and yes, a one-off donation to the Thai-government to help them with infrastructure-improvements or whatever, of B100k would still be acceptable  (not accepted)  to me personally.

I agree with you that B100k one-off charge (for a simple plastic-card) would be very popular, they might even sell over a million of them, which is why I suggested that figure in the first place.

And just think how much less work Immigration would have, compared with the current situation, it would be a win-win solution !

Even the Thai elite visa requires 90 day reporting.

Yes, but you can carry or take your passport to the Thai Elite office on Sathorn (BKK) and they'll do the reporting for you and have your passport back in a day or two (depending day of the week), which you can pick up or have delivered to you.

Also, if you depart Thailand before your 90-days period ends you'll start a new 90-day period upon returning to Thailand. As I frequently leave Thailand, I've only had to do one 90-day report in 2 years.

Unless you have PR Status, everybody needs to report (Mostly) if you have an entry that allows a stay over 90 days. At least if you live in Bangkok, Chang Mai, Pattaya and Phuket then TE will do the report for you for free if you want them too. People on the TE program mostly like to travel anyway. Myself, I haven't done a report for 4 years. I have loads of time being retired to have a run out and back and have absolutely zero issues with immigration. Then again, how hard is it to do a 90 day report?  I could do it myself and still only lose an hour or so every 3 months out of my busy schedule

Yep.  that would be my modus operandi also, just because I hate paperwork, and it would be easy for me to plan some in and out trips to places as needed.
