LONDON (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - Cash transfer programmes funded by the British government are cost-effective ways to alleviate global poverty, an aid watchdog said on Thursday, rejecting concerns from critics that giving cash to poor communities is a misuse of taxpayers' money.
