recommendations for one bedroom apartment with 24h security?

Does anyone have recommendations for quiet buildings that have larger one bedroom apartments with cooking possibilities for rent?

Price range is up to around 10,000 and furniture is a bonus, but not necessary.  Preferable within 10-15km of the city.

Doi Ping Mansions of Charon Prathet Road, next to river Ping.

I used to rent for nominal B8K/ month some years back.

I paid 12 months in advance and rent came down to B7K/month so with inflation B10K may be practical.

Many, actually most of the larger condo buildings in the city use key cards for entry beyond the lobby and have a security guard on duty 24 hours/day.  Also, most studios with some version of a kitchen rent for less than 10,000 baht per month.  Just check out the website of the real estate agents and you'll see hundreds of listings that fit your bill.

Here is one good website, with descriptions of the condo buildings:  http://perfecthomes.co.th/condominiums-in-chiang-mai/

Im in a 1bd in Doiping now, love the location and building but you're looking at 12k/ month now at least on a higher level with a view towards town, you might get one closer to the ground floor without a decent view for 10k. Perhaps a discount is available if you pay the 12 months upfront but they do ask for a 2 month deposit as well.

How is the noise situation there?  Possibly thin walls, renovations, etc.

Occasionally renovations during the day (they seem to come and go) but the walls themselves are reasonably nice and solid so you rarely hear the neighbors, be it the night my ex turned up drunk off her tits at my front door at 11:30pm screaming her head off woke up the entire building, but she was outside the door not in the apartment itself :)
