I've some problems with electrical appliances in Thailand and wish to know if warranties here are normally compliant or avoided by the producers.

Actually is 15 days talking with the service of Tecno for  a broken expensive induction plate and they don't come to repair, today they say can't find the card of warranty sent by the shop. I have all the documents from the shop so can demonstrate the warranty but seems they are not interested. Anyone had experiences on repairs on warranty?

I have also a camera car that is more then one moth sent for repair on warranty but can wait it for another month. The kitchen is more important and I bought a new one smaller for replace the big till is not repaired.

Personally, I have never had warantee repair issues with Thailand based brands.  Sometimes I would have to bring <whatever> to the repair center (like a refrigerator) and wait a week or more.  But, yeah the waiting game can be really annoying.

I have had many brands of appliances fixed during and after warranty in Thailand for the past 11 years.  Same on power tools, alwn mowersd and water pumps. Keeping the store receipt, and warranty card copy has paid off in spades in my personal experience. I can assure you that some copies are prime suspects at losing warranty cards, throwing away warranty cards after one year and generally giving a Thai or expat a run around and lame excuses. However some brands are real champs,. and some retailers in Thailand go above the normal customer service level. Some brands are not strong up country and only come to Isaan in a blue moon. Others rely on independent contractors to fix some models of some brands. Other companies, say Samsung, Teka kitchen appliances, Cotto, are real professional with service centers all over Thailand and a genuine history of solving any warranty issues for my family. "House brands" and Chinese no name brands are the worst in my experience.  Spare parts from certain Italian or German brands is a different experience for me. Some local retailers seem to be able to have staff pick up the telephone, call the service center, or independent local contracted repair shop, and make sure the service center follows up with customers who bought appliances at that particular shop.

Agree, that's of paramount importance and has worked in the past for me, although when the computer screen I bought for my daughter at Carrefour (as it was then) went kaput, it took two months to get the thing repaired (with many visits and a lot of hassling) and it was actually repaired at a dingy looking garage type shop in Phuket town – – and the thing only lasted about two weeks before it went again, and I couldn't be bothered with all of that crap again so I bought a new Samsung one.

they finally come to repair the induction stove. The problem was that the shop never sent the warranty card but after calling again the service they solved the problem.

More difficult will be repair of the camera car, still waiting.
