I just wanted to clarify what documents are required for divorcing at the Amphur? I got married on Koh Samui, but want to divorce in Bangkok as my ex is a bit mental so would rather not be stuck on an island for any longer than I need to be.

 

Do I just need my passport, his Thai ID and the marriage cert?

 

Some people say I will need a translation of my passport that is signed by the MFA, is that the case?

You will need both marriage certificates.

 

Each district office can vary with their requirements. Probably best to ask the relevant district office directly as it will save time/money.

hmmm ok, will try and get him to ask as I'm in London at the moment. 

 

not sure he kept his marriage cert either, I've got mine. if we do not have 2 will that be a problem?

Again it depends on the district office. At the worst they will ask for a police report for the missing document, which is easy to get.
