I will be leaving Thailand soon and living with Thai wife in Aust for a while.  Can someone advice me what options I have for a Visitors Visa to Thailand later this year/next.

Can I just show up at airport and get 30 days? Is there any way I can get a longer stay if needed, without all the troubles/cost of going through the Retirement Visa process again.

Get a tourist visa if you plan to stay longer than 30 days, otherwise a visa-exempt entry with a ticket out of Thailand within 30 days from date of arrival will be OK.

Get a Non Immigrant O visa, single or multiple in AUS based on marriage to Thai national.

Gives you 90 days permission to stay and can be extended with 60 days as you are married to a Thai national.

You can come on a 30 day visa exempt stamp, that you can also exentend with 60 days based on marriage.

Although your airline can refuse you boarding without ticket out of Thailand within 30 days or a proper visa.
