ayakiawe
Help us if you know thanks! Does anyone know if an Iranian passport holder can get entry into Thailand at the airport in Bangkok without a visa. For how many days and if not what to do now in India? A friend ask me to check this out and he will be married to her and fly in from India. He is carring a USA passort. If not where can I find out this info on the web? Thanks so much ! If you do know you can PM him too at: [email protected]

dr_Pat_Pong
Definitely no visa on arrival for an Iranian. Go to the Thai Embassy or a Thai Consulate in India and apply for a tourist visa.

Up2U
You say he is travelling on US passport. Should be no problem, surely? Was in Kuala Lumpur earlier this week, guy at next counter was Algerian. Girl would not give him any kind of visa - said he had to get visa in Paris or Nice (only). Eventually she gave him a 12-hour transit visa for BKK Airport - not to leave the airport - because he had a return ticket with him. But no entry visa. Don't know what the Iranian situation is, but definitely go to a Consulate before (days before) trying to enter Thailand.

Those ' unfavoured ' nations can remain inside the airport for up to 12 hours as of right. No visa is required. Obviously they cannot leave the airside areas.
